Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Pharmacy or drugstore. Tasks: Compound, package and label pharmaceutical products. Compound oral solutions, ointments and creams. Maintain inventories of medications and prescription records of pharmaceutical products. Prepare and maintain cleanliness of collection areas. Advise customers on selection and use of non-prescription medication. Check prescriptions for proper dosage. Calculate billing charges. Assist health care professionals. Place stock on shelves.
