Job details
Education: College/CEGEP. Tasks: Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect defects. Establish NDI techniques and calibration standards. Set up and operate radiographic equipment. Develop and interpret radiographic film. Set up, calibrate, operate and interpret magnetic particle, eddy current, liquid penetrant, acoustic emission, and infrared thermographic equipment. Prepare, conduct and interpret liquid penetrant inspection. Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations. Instruct and supervise trainees. Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicators. Maintain test result reports. Supervision: 5-10 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Nondestructive Testing Certificate. Testing equipment and methods: Liquid penetrant. Nondestructive testing.
