Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Address customers' complaints or concerns. Coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques. Professionalism in customer service. Load and unload goods. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Perform brake adjustments. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Perform preventive maintenance. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Air Brakes Endorsement. Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles). Type of trucking and equipment: Dry bulk. Dump truck. Hydrovac. Liquid bulk. Communication systems experience: Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment. Security and safety: Basic security clearance. Criminal record check. Driver's validity licence check. Driving record check (abstract). Drug test. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Willing to travel for extended periods. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Overtime required. Physically demanding. Sitting. Weight handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Hard hat. Steel-toed safety boots. Safety vest. Gloves. Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication. Excellent written communication. Flexibility. Judgement. Organized.
