Adjust and repair waterworks equipment under the direction of qualified tradesperson. Read blueprint, schemas and drawings. Check, lubricate, refuel and clean equipment. Operate various vehicles and equipment. Report any malfunctions to supervisor. Search, locate and repair reported water leaks. Install water meters. Check and lubricate gas pipeline valves. Conduct routine survey of gas mains and distribution lines. Investigate reports of gas leaks. Provide information on underground gas distribution lines. Observe excavation work to ensure that underground facilities are protected. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Physically demanding. Work under pressure. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Experience: Experience an asset.
