Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities. Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year. Additional Skills: Supervise apprentices and bench workers. Prepare partial dentures. Specific Skills: Take measurement to determine size and shape of dentures. Re-line and re-base dentures. Make impression and mould of teeth, gums and jaws. Fit, adjust and repair dentures. Direct other denturists to construct dentures. Construct dentures. Fabricate mouth protectors, anti-snoring prostheses and removable prostheses on implants. Security and Safety: Immunization records. Eligible for professional liability insurance. Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Repetitive tasks. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Ability to distinguish between colours. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Standing for extended periods. Walking. Bending, crouching, kneeling.
