- Specific Skills
- Advise and provide consultation on matters related to legal surveys; Record all measurements and other information obtained during survey activities; Prepare or supervise the preparation and compilation of all data and documents related to surveys of real property boundaries; Plan, direct and supervise or conduct surveys to establish legal boundaries of properties; Develop survey plans, methods and procedures for conducting legal surveys; Certify and assume liability for surveys made to establish real property boundaries; Survey and lay out subdivisions for rural and urban development; Determine precise locations using electronic distance measuring equipment; Analyze, manage and display data using geographic information systems and computer-aided design and drafting
- Field Skills Experience
- Traditional survey equipment; Total station operation; Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment
- Additional Skills
- Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications; Supervise other land surveyors and/or field crews
