Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Major Work Area: Shop fabrication. Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. First Aid Certificate. Forklift Operator Certification. Experience: Experience an asset. Additional Skills: Read and interpret blueprints/sketches/specifications. Organize and maintain inventory. Clean work area. Application Methods: Hand-held spray guns. Airless gravity pump. Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Type of Product: General metal products. Construction materials or coatings. Type of Industry Experience: Construction industry. Component manufacturing industry. Agricultural industry. Automobile and Trucking industry. Specific Skills: Tend or operate equipment to prepare items for application of protective or decorative coatings. Tend or operate equipment to spray or coat. Select appropriate paint or mix paints. Prepare and apply stencils, decals or other decorative items on finished products. Paint small items and apply touch-ups using paint brushes. Clean and maintain equipment.
