Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Noisy. Dusty. Work setting: In shop. Tasks: Help tradespersons, apprentices and other workers as directed. Repair or replace defective or worn-out parts and components using hand, power or specially designed tools. Hammer out dents, buckles and defects using blocks and hammers. Replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components. Review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed. Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills and bolt or weld replacement parts into place. Repair or replace damaged windows, windshields and sunroofs. Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams. Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment. Equipment and machinery experience: Welding. Area of work experience: Installation. Repair. Underbody components. Uni body machine. Paint spraying. Frame straightening. Front end components. Doors and frame. Body components. Area of specialization: Motor vehicles.
